How to design a great business card using Powerpoint?

So, I just ordered a few business cards via VistaPrint website.

However, have you ever looked at the business card templates they provide? Horrible aren't they?

You're sort of stuck with the poor fonts, style, and backgrounds they provide.

Until, of course you know that there's a better way.

Of course you need a little bit of designer eye. But then most of us at Etsy have one, don't we?

But then you also need the right software. Of course you can use photoshop or a more professional design tool like Adobe Illustrator. I have neither. I'm just a normal Windows and Office application user.

Then I had an idea. Why not use powerpoint? After all, Powerpoint allows you to bring text, images, and styles without a lot of fuss. Of course the Mac Pros will hate me to say this. But then, people like me are in majority, aren't we? :)

So, I had a go at the following business card for my shop. Take a look and let me know you think.

If you like, please do write to me, and I will be happy to share the details of how I went about it.

And, if you asked nicely, I will even share my powerpoint template with you. :)

Cheers.

Sharmili
